Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Reconciling bank statements and credit card statements - Assisting with month-end closing procedures - Preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger - Assisting with financial statement preparation - Conducting balance sheet reconciliations - Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as SOX and GAAP regulations - Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues - Provide support for audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations
Experience:
- Preferred 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role - Proficiency in using accounting software (e.
g.
, Ceridian, ADP) - Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices - Familiarity with financial services industry standards and regulations - Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Note:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
